Brought to you by a Homeschool Adventures volunteer organizer!

Description: Immerse your students in history as they experience a day in a one-room school! They'll use slates and chalk to do their school work, play old fashioned recess games, and be taught by an in-character school marm from the 1900's.

The day will go as follows:

  • 10:30am - Tour the grounds, taking a peek into several of the 22 buildings that have been preserved from that time period.
  • 11:30am - Break for lunch. Pack a bag lunch for your kids, and they'll get a chance to eat it in the yard. Afterwards, they'll serve everyone hand-dipped ice cream cones. (If you have children that can't eat ice cream, perhaps you could send along a special treat for them.)
  • 12:15pm - School house experience!

Target age range: recommended for students in 3rd grade and up

Cost per child/student: $7.50
Cost per adult/educator: $7.50

Registration: Register online at

Sibling policy: Everyone that attends must pay the $7.50 fee. If there is enough interest, the organizer can set up a second tour running concurrently, for younger kids.
Parent/guardian/educator policy: Parents can stay or drop off.
