Description: Be a farmer this spring! Experience what it takes to care for the animals at Square Root Farms.
Farm Hands actively participate in the farm’s chores and projects for the day. These vary greatly depending on the season!
Common spring projects include:
- Caring for the baby chicks
- Moving and feeding the pastured chickens
- Gathering and packaging eggs
- Bringing the horses in from pasture
- Bottle-feeding goat kids
- Feeding the horses
- Picking horse manure
- Cleaning water troughs
- And so much more!
Learn by Doing: Farm Hands experience the fun, responsibility, hard-work and joy that comes with caring for livestock.
Target age range: for ages 8–18 years
Cost per child/student: $25
Free for children ages 1 and under

Farm Hands is limited to 6 kids at a time. This ensures every single student gets individualized attention and tons of valuable, hands-on experience.
Sibling policy: All children must be enrolled to attend Parent/guardian/educator policy: All children must be accompanied by an adult.
