Description: Want to build a full-scale functioning R2-D2? Or maybe you prefer BB-8? Or perhaps you have your own astromech design? Join the United Space Astromech Assemblers (USAA)!
Astromech engineers will build their droids at home, based on their own design, and their own budget. USAA encourages astromech engineers to experiment, to try new ideas, to refine old one, and to enjoy the process. Building a full-scale functioning astromech droid will take most builders from 2 to 5 years to fully complete.
Monthly meetings are a place to share strategies, ask for help, and show off what you've accomplished. Meetings will have a focal topic, and the group will start by focusing on the dome.
