Description: Explore plant and animal biology on a working farm. Learn as you work hands-on with the plants and livestock of Gale Woods Farm. Explore such topics as genetics, ecosystems, sustainable farming practices, animals systems, food production and much more.

This curriculum is part of a two-year rotation of four sessions (in the fall and spring of each year). Participants may start at any point in the four sessions. Participants do not need to enroll in the full two years, but they will benefit the most if they are able to do so.

Target age range: Farm BioScience is designed for the skills and interests of children ages 12 to 16 years.

Cost per child/student: $89
Cost per adult/educator: free, welcome as assistants to farm educator

Maximum class size: 10 students
If the class is full, call Gale Woods Farm at 763-694-2001 to be placed on the wait list. Additional educators will be added, as available, if there is sufficient interest.

Parent/guardian/educator policy: Farm Bioscience is a drop-off class. Parents are welcome to attend in the role of volunteer assistants to the Farm Educator.
