Join the Homeschool Adventures Calendar Editor Team!

Homeschool Adventures needs YOU to volunteer to help keep our online calendar of local inclusive secular homeschool classes and events up-to-date!

Homeschool Adventures is all-volunteer homeschool support group made up of homeschooling parents working together, volunteering our time, to pool information about local homeschool opportunities for our kids to create this fabulous and FREE resource the entire local homeschool community can use. Our all-volunteer team of homeschool parents scours the web and the real world, seeking to discover and enter all local inclusive homeschool events on our website calendar.

We can always use more help with that mission! As homeschoolers, we all have limited time available, but we'd love it if you could find time in your busy homeschooling schedules to join us at our monthly Calendar Bee — where homeschool parents gather together to drink coffee, talk, laugh and scour the web for local homeschool events and get them added to our website calendar!

Experienced Calendar Editors will be on hand at the Bee to answer your questions.

Please bring along a laptop. (Calendar entry on a tablet can be done but is a bit frustrating as you need to switch between webpages frequently and type a great deal.) If you don't have a laptop to bring, you can still come to see how it's done and provide company and moral support to the Calendar Editors at work!

Children are always welcome. We fully expect to be interrupted by children.

If you've got homeschool students who'd love to try their hand at online research or data entry, we welcome their help as well — but there's a concurrent homeschool Game Day happening, so be prepared to lose your students to the tabletop games! We are taking advantage of the free WiFi (and great coffee) at Fantasy Flight Games Center while our kids take advantage of Open Gaming hours: Games and tables are open to all. New players & beginners welcome! Borrow games from FFGC's extensive game library which features titles from numerous publishers and a range of games, including FFG classics, family favorites, and dexterity games! The Fantasy Flight Games Center features dozens of tables big enough for board games and roleplaying groups. Open gaming is available to all visitors, whether you're playing the newest FFG releases or introducing your family to an old classic. You may also bring along your favorite games from home!

Please note that no outside food or beverages are permitted as Fantasy Flight Games Center has a café that serves delicious food and beverages.

Even if you can't make the Calendar Bee, if you know of a local inclusive secular homeschool event that's not on our calendar, then you, too, can help our local homeschool community by gathering the details and submitting them (either by using our event submission form or posting to our Yahoo Group or our Facebook Group.

Host the following Calendar Bee

Let Nic know before the next Bee that you'd like to host the following Bee — you set the location, date and time (Calendar Bees are usually about 1 month apart).

If you are unable to make the Bee, you can contact Nic to schedule a one-on-one training or you can check out the painfully bad 13-minute video at
