History Fest is open to all schools, including homeschools, Wednesday through Friday from 9am to 3pm, and open to the public on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Playfully Preserving History

Description: Kids get hands-on learning experiences with periods in history and have the chance to interact with people outside of their own home/community, broadening their horizons.

Get a taste of what it was like in days gone by….

You'll find a variety of entertainers and activities ranging from re-enactors of 17th century Scotland, Civil War era, the Old West and more. Activities include, launching a catapult, cider making, cannon shooting and so much more!

The camps and exhibits will be open for you to view at your leisure. Re-enactors will be happy to answer questions about the period of history they represent.

There are beautiful park style shelters and seating but not enough for all patrons. Those facilities are available on a first come first served basis. There are also yards of lush meadow grass to kick back on. Bring blankets and create a picnic right in the midst of the activity! Please provide your own coolers for perishables as refrigeration is not available.

History Fest is also looking for volunteers. It is a great opportunity for students who want or need to fulfill any community service requirements.
