Description: The Homeschool Leadership Development Program (LDP) is the first step in Camp St. Croix’s camper leadership training progression. Learn self-confidence, responsibility management, and group development through activity planning. Partnering with a Camp St. Croix Outdoor Education Instructor, learn the knowledge and skills necessary to organize and implement a lesson and activity for younger students.

Students will spend the part of morning programming learning content and preparing an activity under supervision of an Outdoor Education Instructor. After lunch, the students will co-lead the lesson and activity alongside one of Croix’s Outdoor Education Instructors allowing them to have more ownership over their learning experience and character development.

Lesson topic: Understand the culture, customs, and mythology of the Ojibwe and Dakota tribes of this area through different activities that took place in their daily lives.

Target age range: for 12–16 years old

Cost per teen/student: $17 (includes lunch)

Registration: Register online or download printable registration form. Registration is required one week prior to the program date. Space is limited. Walk-ins may be refused.
