Clay Class For Teens

Description: Beginner-to-intermediate students explore the elements of art and art history through hands-on application of traditional sculptural and wheel-thrown techniques. Projects are suggested, but the student is allowed to use self-expression.

Instructor: Chloe Rizzo is a figure sculptor and teaching artist working primarily in clay and glass. She earned a master's degree in ceramics at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2001. She deeply believes the philosophy that creating art is a powerful act that can result in transformation, and everyone deserves that opportunity. Chloe has been an exhibiting and teaching artist for more than 15 years, working with diverse populations in public and private institutions across the country. She moved to the Twin Cities from northwest Texas and works in her home studio.

Target age range: for ages 12–15 years

Cost per child/student: $99, all materials and supplies are included
