Woods in Bloom

Monday, May 14, 2018
1:15 pm – 2:30 pm

Sensory Garden

Description: Only a short window of time to enjoy the Arboretum's spring wildflowers, because it is almost like they are here today and gone tomorrow! We will learn about their sprint to beat the leaves of the trees by completing their above ground life cycle in just two to three weeks. Using real flowers and microscopes, we will examine the different parts of blossoms and look for signs of pollination. Then we will meander through the wildflower garden looking for wildflowers, pollinators, monitor sun strength, and inspect tree twig growth.
