Description: Become a junior ranger and help baby sea turtles Race to the Ocean! Plus encounter sharks, stingrays, sea turtles along with thousands of other sea creatures throughout the aquarium. Your admission also includes exclusive Learning Stations – just for homeschoolers!

General Aquarium admission for Homeschool students and families (adults and children) will be offered at a reduced rate during standard open hours. Your admission is valid all day. Aquarium opens at 10 am and closes at 7 pm (at 8 pm on Friday). Discounted admission may still be purchased after Learning Stations have closed.

Learning Stations

Explore Learning Stations in the classrooms from 10am-2pm. Come and go as you please and take part in interactive learning stations geared towards a variety of ages from Elementary School to High School. Network with other families from the homeschool community, while learning about marine life and science.

All Access Pass

Make your visit extra special by reserving an All Access Pass for $12 which includes your $7 general admission and a $5 Behind the Scenes Tour, a 45-minute guided tour to see first-hand how Sea Life cares for thousands of animals. Go up on the deck above the aquarium tunnel system where you can see the sea life from above and visit animals that are currently off-exhibit. Explore the Laboratory to find out how Sea Life treats and maintains the 1.3 million gallons of water that make up the aquarium. Visit the Food Prep Kitchen to see what Sea Life feeds its 10,000+ creatures in order to keep them healthy and strong.

All Access Pass must be reserved in advance.

Target age range: for all ages! Your group may include any family member, including grandparents. Your guests do not need proof of homeschool status but must be both accompanied by and paid for with a homeschool family.

SEA LIFE Minnesota is completely wheelchair and stroller accessible, including Behind-the-Scenes tours.

Cost per person: $7/all-day general admission includes activity stations from 10am–2pm, applicable sales tax will be applied
Free for children ages 2 and under
+ $5/Behind-the-Scenes Tour (optional, but must be booked in advance)
Regular admission prices are $24.49/adult and $17.49/child. Regular Behind-the-Scenes Tour price is $9.99/person.

Tax-exempt groups must bring a copy of their Tax Exempt Form with them to the aquarium for sales tax to be removed from their transaction.

Registration: All Access Pass should be reserved in advance online to guarantee availability. General admission can be purchased online or at SEA LIFE Box Office on the day of the event.

Each group that attends Homeschool Days must show proof of homeschool status at the SEA LIFE Box Office. There are several documents that will be accepted as proof that you are a Homeschool Family:

  1. A membership card from MHA, ECHO-MN, MACHE, or another homeschool group
  2. A copy of your "Letter of Intent to Continue Homeschooling"
  3. A copy of your "Initial Report to Superintendent"

You will need ONE of these forms to obtain the homeschool prices.
